The National Fire Protection Association - NFPA© 70B states that infrared electrical surveys should be performed on an annual basis. Weller Infrared Services uses infrared technology for preventative or predictive maintenance inspections on electrical equipment. Our electrical infrared thermal imaging surveys are accurate and reliable. Electrical infrared thermal imaging surveys typically shows hot spots on electrical systems that could indicate electrical faults. These electrical faults could be loose connections or connections that are deteriorating. We also detect unbalanced loads, overloaded circuits, damaged breakers, and faulty equipment. Our infrared electric motor surveys reveal loose electrical connections, defective bearings, couplings, bad rotors or stator.
